Ohio's Bridges & Backroads

Near Marietta, Ohio
Harra Covered Bridge

After passing through Watertown, headed north on Ohio Rte. 339, you'll pass the Harra Covered Bridge.  This well-maintained bridge is easy to access, at the side of the road.  Parking is available at either end, although only foot traffic is permitted on the bridge.

The bridge has several windows, that allow for great views of the stream below.  It's hard to tell just how long ago Dave and Barb were here, since the bridge was constructed in 1871.

You can also walk below the Harra Bridge, along a narrow concrete dam.
