On this page, you'll find my first visit to the Grand Canyon. You can also read my second visit to the Grand Canyon in December 2006, and my visit to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in 2007. |

Hermit's Rest marks the end of West Rim Drive.

The building at Hermit's Rest was constructed into the hillside. You can easily walk onto the roof. (Above you see the building's chimney.)

Hermit's Rest is one of several structures designed by legendary architect Mary Jane Colter. |

After leaving Hermit's Rest, head east.

As you leave Grand Canyon Village, headed east on AZ-64, there are still plenty of places to stop and capture a different view of the canyon.
