What Is Drivelapse?
Drivelapse videos are the
newest addition to TakeMyTrip.com. Simply put, I record
every mile that I drive, using a small, iPod-sized video camera,
mounted on my dashboard. I start recording every time I
start driving, and stop the video when I park the car.
At the end of an average day,
I've generated about 30 gigabytes of video, all of which gets
downloaded and saved. Once my trip is done, the editing
begins. I speed up the video -- anywhere from 4-times to
12-times the actual speed, then edit out any stops or long
pauses in the video. The result? You get to watch my
entire trip, and see everything that I saw along the road --
giving you a better idea of what to expect when you Take My
Trip!
