Boulder Falls is 8 miles west of Boulder, on CO Rte. 119. |
Boulder Falls' cascade is 40 feet high... and just a short walk from the parking area.

Signs warn everyone to stay on the path, and newspaper clippings are posted, which tell of visitors who died while climbing on slick, wet rocks. Despite all of that, I still spotted a few people who climbed to the top of the falls. |
After visiting the falls, then driving through the beautiful town of Boulder, I spent the night in the town of Longmont. You will find plenty of places to stay along Interstate 25. If money isn't a concern, consider staying in Estes Park. A motel room there will likely run $100 or more, but you'll be able to start day 2 at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
