Route 66 Through Bourbon, Missouri
Bourbon, Missouri provides the Route 66 traveler with what is perhaps the third most interesting water tower you'll see along the Mother Road (the first two being the Giant Catsup Bottle in Collinsville, Illinois, and the leaning Britten USA tower in Groom, Texas--I'll let you decide which deserves the number 1 spot). Go ahead and take a picture, then tell all your friends at home that it's actually filled with Bourbon. Ha, ha, ha.
Actually, there's more than one Bourbon tower in the tiny town -- I spotted at least three of them. This was the smallest one, and the first one you'll spot as you head westbound.
